Bay Area people—you need to get to Oakland to see this gorgeous show. I was blown away and will be returning to take it in again.
Betti Ono gallery has been showing terrific art for four years. “Inspired by recurring souls – such as Betti Ono’s founding spirits: American funk-singer, Betty Davis, and Japanese artist/singer/writer, Yoko Ono – the exhibition is an open experiment with language and image, a speculative portraiture giving way to memory of a future yet made” says owner and curator, Anyka Barber.
